# Creating an API Key

> Learn how to start using the Kits API with basic setup and authentication.

To create an API Key, head to our [API Access Page](https://app.kits.ai/api-access) and generate a new token.

Once you have an API key, this key must be sent in the headers of each request you send, as outlined in the documentation.
